The Enchantment of Spring at Synetic Theater: April 11-15, 9am – 3pm

Explore the hidden world around you in this week-long nature adventure! Join Synetic Theater for a week-long exploration camp through the hidden and magical worlds of Enchantment. Based on the popular children’s movie Encanto, this camp will give students the opportunity to find their magical ‘gift’ and use it to save the world! With an emphasis on creative and active play, students will work with Synetic Teaching artists to see the world in a whole new way. This camp will take place both indoors and outdoors and will include wacky experiments, a lot of games, and a focus on physical movement. We don’t talk about … how much fun this camp will be – you’ll need to see for yourself! Day-by-day and full-week options are available! Rising 1st Grade – 8th Grade

Urban Adventure Squad: April 11-15, 8:45am-3pm

Junior Ranger Adventure Squad is a creative partnership between Urban Adventure Squad and Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens with the goal to create meaningful connections to local National Parks and foster a lifelong love of environmental stewardship in students here in Washington, DC. Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, a historic National Park Service site located along the Anacostia River, is where we will spend our days hiking, exploring, learning, picnicking, and playing. This special Junior Ranger Adventure Squad programming is made possible thanks to scholarship funding provided by Friends of Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens who are deeply invested in our Ward 7 neighborhood. 

DC Department of Parks and Recreation: April 11-14, 2022, 9am-4pm

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) offers a full-day camping option for 3-5 year-olds and 6-12 year-olds during the DC Public Schools (DCPS) spring break. The overarching theme for the camps will incorporate DPR’s “Move, Grow, and Be Green” philosophy, as we plant the seeds of personal development.

Homerun Baseball: April 11-15, 2022, 8:30am-2:30pm

Players can expect a positive mental attitude environment featuring long round of ground balls, batting practice and two games a day. Our motto is “Talent is What You Have, Effort is What You Give”.

Confetti: April 11-15, 2022, 9am-4pm

Confetti fosters creativity, peer interaction, and positive thinking for elementary-aged children. This program encourages children to collaborate with one another through daily crafts, hands-on activities, and engaging games.

HoopED: April 11-15, 2022, 9am-3pm

HoopEd Spring Break Camps offers families an active and exciting child care option during the holiday break. Spring break is a busy time for HoopEd Nation and that is why we offer full or partial week sign ups for kids in grades 1-8! Spring Break Camps are the best way for kids to see their friends, stay active and avoid “break boredom”! See you on the courts and playground!

DC Way: April 11-15, 2022, 9am-3pm

There will be two different locations for different age groups. Camp provides players the opportunity to work on technical soccer skills as well as participate in fun games. Games like Tigers v Rabbits build adaptability in players to prepare them for on and off the field. Your child will get the most out of their spring break while developing both soccer and cognitive skills in just a week!

Silver Stars Gymnastics: April 11-18, 2022, 8:30am-4pm
(Silver Spring, MD)
Throughout the camp week the campers learn progressive gymnastics skills on all of the four Olympic events: vault, bars, balance beam, and floor exercise. In addition we incorporate other fun equipment: Tumble Trak, Double Mini, Olympic Competitive Trampolines, Rings, Zip Line and Rope.

CREATE Arts Center: April 11-18, 2022, 9am-3pm

DCPS spring break camps {in-person and virtual options}

Don’t have plans for Spring Break? No worries, there are several of our favorites that are adhering to CDC guidelines and are offering an opportunity for your children to dip their toes back into the world of camp! As you have probably experienced the overwhelming demand for summer camps, spring break camp is no different so don’t delay in registering. DCPS spring break is April 12-16, 2021.

DC Department of Parks and Recreation (In-person)
Offering full-day Spring Break Camp programs in recreation centers for children, ages 3–13, during DC Public Schools’ spring break. DPR provides youth with a variety of structured games, sports, character-education exercises, and arts and crafts. Our goal is to plant the seeds of personal development and environmental responsibility in a fun and engaging recreation setting. Camp is from 9:00am-5:00pm, April 12-15 (no camp on Friday). Spring break camp is April 12-16, from 8:30am to 2:30pm at Friendship Recreation Center. Camp is for girls and boys ages 4-11 (half-day option for 4 year olds), players can expect a positive mental attitude environment featuring long round of ground balls, batting practice and two games a day.

Confetti’s Spring Break Camp (In-person) Tenleytown, DC
Confetti fosters creativity, peer interaction, and positive thinking for elementary-aged children. This program encourages children to collaborate with one another through daily crafts, hands-on activities, and engaging games. The session will run from 1:00pm-4:00pm, April 12th through April 16th.

Red Panda Art Studio (Virtual)
Join from 9:30am-11:30am, April 12 to April 14 to celebrate all things Spring! Mini-camp is designed for ages 5 to 10. All supplies included and delivered to you!

Hoop Ed (In-person) Various locations
HoopEd Spring Break Camps offers families an active and exciting child care option during the holiday break. The Children’s Art Studio (Virtual)
Have your child join us for one hour, April 12 to April 14 from 10am-11am, for Art Camp! They will learn technique, look at examples from art history, and have a blast making beautiful drawings and paintings. Small class size means your child will receive one-on-one attention and support. Your child will receive a prompt at the end of class, and instructions to keep working at home. Camp is best for ages 6-9. A materials list is on the above link.

DC Way Soccer Camp (In-person) Capitol Hill, DC
Spring into soccer with DC Way’s Spring Break Camp on April 12th! DC Way’s camp provides players the opportunity to work on technical soccer skills as well as participate in fun games. The DC Way team leads energetic games that combine learning and fun. Your kid will get the most out of their spring break while developing both soccer and cognitive skills in just a week.

School of Rock (In-person) Cleveland Park, DC
Want to play in a band onstage? Our Rock 101 camp is designed for beginners 7-11 years of age. No experience necessary! Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. The nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family.

Red Panda Art Studio– TBA

Join a full session of sensory play and art activities related to the day’s theme. Join for one day or all week! Camp is for kids ages 3-8.

Brit-Am Soccer– April 6-10, 2020
(Next Level: 5420 Butler Rd, Bethesda, MD 20816)
This camp is great for every soccer player in Kindergarten-grade 6, experienced or beginner. Each day starts with a full camp activity which consists of energetic games to get them excited and ready for play. The players are then divided into groups, where they will work on their individual skills and play lots of fun small sided games. Each morning of camp will finish off with the World Cup Competition which is a small tournament with prizes for the winners. During the week we also hold mini competitions to find the “Best Dressed Soccer Uniform” and “Crazy Soccer Hat”. The afternoons are all about scoring goals with shooting games and small group and individual competitions. Campers play their favorite games such as power finesse, swedish fish and penalty shoot outs. After-care option is available.

My Gym– April 6-10 & April 13, 2020

When school is off, My Gym camp is on! Drop your kids ages 3-9 off for three hours of cool and nonstop fun at My Gym including themed games, crafts, gymnastics, sports and snack! Potty Independent please.

Dance Exchange– April 6-10, 2020

Keep your young mover active during breaks as they explore dance in many forms—and create their own choreography. In these week-long camps, youth ages 6-10 move and make alongside Dance Exchange artists and guest artists to explore dance from tango to hip hop, classical to contemporary. Youth will explore what dance and creativity is and can do—both in the studio and out in the world. Camps end with youth blending what they learn into original choreography. 

KOA Multisport Camp– April 6-10, 2020

Spring Break means school’s out, so lets’s play! Join Koa Sports for our Multisport Spring Break Camp at Koa HQ. This camp is for kids in PreK- grade 8 looking to be active and have fun while school is out for the week. Valley Mill Camp offers a Spring Break Camp for children ages 5 to 14.
Weather permitting, they do their usual fun activities at camp: kayaking and canoeing, archery & air rifle, rock climbing, group games, playing in the creek, and hikes. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, campers check out indoor adventures. Transportation will be from pick up points in nearby Montgomery County and DC.

The Children’s Art Studio– April 6-9, 2020

Over the course of each week, kids ages 5-10 will work on drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and printing. Your child will have a blast and bring home beautiful, artwork made with a wide range of high-quality materials. Time will be spent each day playing outside, reading, quietly drawing and looking at illustrated books and art history monographs. The bulk of the day will be spent making art, however. Children will receive instructive lessons on technique and have time to work on open-ended projects, all in an upbeat, supportive environment.

–Spring Explorers: Do you enjoy taking adventurous field trips with friends? Each day, children in grade 1-9th grade will visit a different destination in the Greater D.C. area. Exciting trips in the past have included places like local parks, the National Air and Space Museum, putt-putt, Wolf Trap, and water parks, just to name a few. Come experience this spring edition of our popular travel camp programs!
–Colonials & Coasters: Join a 4 day, 3 night Spring Break trip! Campers in grads 3-9 will start by visiting the Williamsburg area to go to historic Williamsburg to explore how Colonial Americans lived and worked before starting the Coasters portion of our trip by spending a full day at Busch Gardens. The group will end its trip by traveling to Kings Dominion to tackling the many Coasters there.

Your children in PreK-grade 5 will jump into a time machine and travel back in time to “dig through the decades.”  In this awesome camp they’ll explore the science, technology, engineering, art and math behind the decades.  They’ll twist, shout, doo-wop and be-bop through the 1950’s, create the fashions of the hippies in the 1960’s, love the lava lamp through the 1970’s, “Phone home” in the 1980’s, make your own gadgets in the 1990’s and so much more! –Backyard Bash Camp on April 13 is the camp’s tradition to celebrate the last day of our school-year camps and this year it is going to be a backyard bash!

Arts on the Horizon: Stories Come to Life: Under the Big Top– April 6-10, 2020

Journey with Encore as they explore the exciting music, movement, and madness of popular stories! Each day they focus on a new theme. Over the course of each week, kids ages 5-10 will work on drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, and printing. Your child will have a blast and bring home beautiful, artwork made with a wide range of high-quality materials. Time will be spent each day playing outside, reading, quietly drawing and looking at illustrated books and art history monographs. The bulk of the day will be spent making art, however. Children will receive instructive lessons on technique and have time to work on open-ended projects, all in an upbeat, supportive environment.

Camp begins with an inspired art project  such as Monet or van Gogh. Camp is for 4 -8 year olds and runs from 9:30am-12:30pm.

Home Run Baseball Camp– April 13-17, 2020

Coach Julia Heimstra and an experienced co-ed staff will lead a high energy camp with the same format as the summer camp at AU Park in NW, Washington, DC. Full ground ball and fly ball square drill, over one hundred swings in batting practice, and two full games per day. Groups will be broken up by age and teams will be fair and games will be competitive. Full and half day options for kids ages 4-12.

United’s Spring Break Camps are half-day programs which provide participants ages 5 – 16 an opportunity  to experience an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, highlighting individual technique, coupled with team and game tactics. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment.

Looking for something new to do during Spring Break?  Join us for a four day camp designed to take you on a culinary tour of the US.  Each day will focus on a different region.  Chef Sherri brings the fun of Summer Camp, just a few months earlier. Camp includes soccer ball, t-shirt, DC United ticket and DC United player appearances.

Have you ever wanted to be just like one of your favorite superheroes, learn the skills that they use, and how they apply those skills to helping the world become a better place!? Break Camp runs from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and After-Camp Care from 3:00-6:00 p.m. There is not before-camp care. Geared towards campers age 5-Grade 5 and are open to GDS and non-GDS students.
