Welcome! I’m a former teacher and now stay-at-home Mom, living in the District of Columbia, originally from the Midwest. I have an incredibly handsome, former-princess-lovin’ second grade son who can knock the baseball across the field. I also have a fiercely independent toddler daughter who insists on running everywhere — with a big unfailing smile.
As a first time mama, I spent lots of time searching for new and exciting places to take my son. I spent a few months scouring local sites for weekly events to try out and sent them along to a Moms group I was a part of. So, I decided to begin a blog and continue to research activities going on and put them in one place for local parents to locate easily. I will research, visit and suggest to you my “top picks” for the week & weekend.
As we know, getting out of the house and exploring what our city has to offer (which is infinite) will keep us sane and our children entertained. My hope is to help further your knowledge and education and participate as a family in experiencing the wonderful resources that the DC area provides. I hope you find the blog useful.
